OUR HORSES
The Favourite...
​
Forest is by far 'the favourite' when it comes to the choice of therapy horses. He is just such a character and very quick to 'work people out' and 'respond appropriately. If your anxious you better change it and fast as he wont come anywhere near! On the other hand he is very 'responsive' and 'empathetic'. He has been known to rest his head on shoulders whilst brushing their cheek with his big gentle lips, when they are upset. Nobody couldn't like this chap! He has a heart of gold with a 'quirky' attitude to go with it.
Forest is a 7 year old Highland Pony, officially known as 'Kerrera Finlay'. He also has a very successful showing career.

BASIL
The Jumper...

Basil is a very 'obliging' big chap who sometimes struggled to see what his 'purpose' is. He loves people and is a gentle giant with a heart of gold.
Basil is a 6 year old Irish Sports Horse who likes to jump.
KATIE
PONY
The Prima Donna...

Katie Pony is very 'selective' in choosing who she wants to work with. She is very 'strong minded' and will not be 'pushed around' by anyone! Katie tends to like working with younger children more than adults. She is very sweet if she likes you, and a real diva if she doesn't!!
Katie Pony is an 18 year old Welsh Sect D. She likes going out hacking up the forestry tracks and spending some 'one to one time' with her mummy.
DOUGS
The Cuddly One...

Dougal is a little star!! He is also one of our very popular therapy ponies. Dougal didn't have the best start in life, resulting in anxiety and trust issues. However he has now overcome his problems and works well with individuals who are suffering from the same. Dougal is very responsive and affectionate, with a forgiving nature. Everyone loves 'Doogy Woogy'!!
Dougal is a 8 year old Shetland Pony who loves spending time with his mummy Elaine and Granny Sheena. He is very much loved within the stables.
PIMPERNEL
The Princess...
​
Pimpernel believes that she is a Princess, and should be treated accordingly! She is a very sweet little lady, however things MUST be on her terms and in her time!! This makes her the ideal pony for people with the same issues to work with! She is a real gentle sweetheart who often gently whiskers away to you.
Pimpernel is a 6 year old Shetland pony. She likes wandering around the stables and having plenty of 'duvet days'!.
Pimpernel is Dougal's full sister!
ML
The Schoolmaster...

ML is a very 'sympathetic' and 'understanding' big chap. Not a lot phases him and he is therefore great for 'building confidence'. He likes to show affection ... As well as receive it. He really is a lovely big chap.
ML Is a 16 yo French Arab. He enjoys competing with his mum Emma and loves to jump!
NETTIE PONY
The Diva...

Nettie pony is a real Diva, and 'bold' as you can get. She will not be intimidated and always gives back as good as she gets!! Nettie Pony can be a real challenge to work with, providing great learning.
Nettie is a 6 yo Connemara who likes to go eventing with her rider Jodie. Nettie has 30,000 Instagram followers!
